Removal Procedure
- Record all of the radio station presets.
- Ensure that all lamps and accessories are turned off.
- Turn the ignition OFF and remove the ignition key.
- Open the rear compartment lid.
- Remove Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Replacement (Notchback)Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Replacement (Hatchback)
- Remove Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Support Replacement
- Open the right rear door.
- Fold the rear seat back cushion forward to get a better access to the battery.
- Disconnect Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- With start/stop system use the following steps:
- Install a open-end spanner (1) to counter-hold the battery sensor as shown in the graphic.
- Remove the battery negative cable nut (2).
- Disconnect Battery Negative Cable (3)
- Unclip Battery Negative Cable Clip (1)
NOTE:Use a counterholder to prevent the battery sensor from damage.
- Without start/stop system use the following steps:
- Loosen the battery negative pole clamp nut (2).
- Disconnect the battery negative pole clamp (1).
- Remove body extension current sensor wiring harness to battery negative cable bolt (1).
- Disconnect the battery current sensor connector.(2)
- Unclip Battery Negative Cable Clip (1)
- Remove the battery negative cable terminal cover (1).
- Remove Battery Current Sensor (2)
