Preliminary Procedure Remove the upper intake manifold cover. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Cover Replacement . Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) .
1	Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor CAUTION: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution . Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine coolant temperature sensor. Tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
