Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear compartment floor panel trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Replacement (North America)Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Replacement (Export - CU9, CV5, CZ3, C4E)

- Remove the battery insulator (1) from the top of the battery.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

- Remove the rear cargo fuse block cover (1).
- Remove the positive cable nut and remove the cable from the rear fuse block.
- Loosen the battery clamp fastener on the positive battery post.
- Release the tabs on the rear cargo fuse block (3) and set aside.

- Remove the battery hold down retainer bracket fasteners (1) and remove the battery hold down retainer bracket (2).

- Disconnect the battery vent tube (2) from the battery (1).
- Remove the battery (1) from the rear cargo area.
