Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition OFF for 10 s.
  2. Ignition ON for greater than 3 s.
  3. Engine idling for 5 s.
  4. Place the transmission in Drive for greater than 3 s then return the transmission to Park.
  5. Verify DTC P2100 or P2103 is not set.
    • If a DTC is set 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If a DTC is not set 
  6. Perform the action below while monitoring the scan tool. Verify DTC P2100 or P2103 does not set.
    • Wiggle the harness and connector:X50A Fuse Block - Underhood
    • Wiggle the harness and connector:K20 Engine Control Module
    • If a DTC is set 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If a DTC is not set 
  7. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
