Circuit/System Verification

P0451

1. Ignition ON, Engine running for at least 40 s. Do not depress the accelerator pedal even slightly.
   • If the DTC sets 

     Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

   • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
2. Viewing the scan tool Inspection Maintenance data, let engine idle until EVAP Monitor Enabled changes from OFF to ON.
   NOTE:

   It will take at most 2 hours until the EVAP Monitor Enabled changes from OFF to ON.

3. Ignition OFF. Wait at least 90 minutes.
   NOTE:

   Do not turn ignition ON during the 90 minutes.

4. Ignition ON. View the scan tool Inspection Maintenance data on the EVAP Test Results parameter.
   • If not complete 

     Repeat steps 2 - 4.

   • Go to next step: If complete 
5. Refer to Circuit/System Testing

P0452 and P0453

1. Ignition ON, Engine running. Bring engine up to normal operating temperature.
2. Ignition OFF, wait at least 10 s.
3. Verify the scan tool fuel temperature parameter is greater than 0 ° C (32 ° F).
4. Ignition ON, Engine running for greater than 20 s.
   • If MIL is illuminated 

     Refer to Circuit/System Testing

   • Go to next step: If MIL is not illuminated 
5. All OK.
