Component Testing

Static Test

NOTE:

A thermometer can be used to test the sensor off the vehicle.

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the Intake Air Temperature Sensor.
2. Measure and record the resistance of the Intake Air Temperature Sensor at various ambient temperatures, then compare those measurements to the Temperature Versus Resistance (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor)  table.
   • If resistance does not match 

     Replace the Mass Air Flow/Intake Air Temperature Sensor.

   • Go to next step: If resistance matches 
3. All OK.
