Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector and install the starter. (1)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the starter mounting bolts (2) Tighten 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
  3. Reposition Heated Oxygen Sensor Electrical Connector (1)

  4. Install Battery Positive Cable (2)
  5. Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (1) Tighten 12.5 N.m (111 lb in)
  6. Battery Positive Cable Retainer Fastener (3) Tighten 6 N.m (53 lb in)

  7. Install Knock Sensor-Bank 2 (3) Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 2

  8. Install Starter Heat Shield (2) Starter Shield Replacement (LGX) 
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
