Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Before conducting any repair to this high voltage cooling system, it is necessary to determine/verify whether no high-voltage system faults exist. If high-voltage faults exist, follow published DTC diagnostics/repair procedures prior to performing any cooling system repairs. Failure to correct High Voltage Faults before working on the high voltage cooling system could result in personal injury or death.

  1. Turn vehicle power OFF and remove all keyless entry transmitters from the vehicle and secure in a place outside the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  3. Drain the drive motor generator power inverter module cooling system. Refer to Drive Motor Generator Power Inverter Module Cooling System Draining and Filling 
  4. Remove Front Compartment Front Sight Shield. Refer to Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement

  6. Remove Drive Motor Battery Radiator Surge Tank Bracket Bolt (1)
  7. Position aside drive motor battery radiator surge tank (2).

  9. Remove Drive Motor Power Inverter Module Shield Bolt (1)
  10. Remove Ground Cable Bolt (3) @ Drive Motor Power Inverter Module
  11. Remove Drive Motor Power Inverter Module Shield (2)

  13. Disconnect Electrical Connector (1)
  14. Disengage Clamp (3). Refer to Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 
  15. Remove Drive Motor Generator Control Module Radiator Outlet Hose (2)

  17. Disengage Clamp (1). Refer to Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 
  18. Remove Drive Motor Generator Control Module Radiator Outlet Hose (2)
