Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Data Reset This reset function is used to reset certain engineering data parameters.
Hybrid Powertrain Control Module 2 Scan Tool Output Controls

Output Control Description
AC Compressor Speed This output control is used to vary the electric A/C compressor speed.
Battery Charging System Efficiency Test (Active Test) This output control activates the battery charger control module to perform its internal efficiency test.
Clear Secured High Voltage DTCs
  • This output control is used to clear a latched high voltage (HV) lockout state.
  • The hybrid powertrain control modules 1 and 2 monitor for high voltage safety conditions such as airbag deploy events and certain HV system faults.
  • If these conditions are present either module may set a DTC and prevent HV enabling until after this Output Control is exercised.
  • NOTE:

Performing a scan tool DTC Clear may clear the diagnostic that set the HV lockout state, but will not reset the lockout.

  • Always refer to Clear Secured High Voltage DTCs procedure in Hybrid/Energy Storage service information for the proper sequence of procedures required to reset a HV lockout state.
Cooling Fan Motor This output control is used to vary the coolant radiator cooling fan motor between 10% and 90%.
DC Charge Port Lock This output control is used to energize the M110 Hybrid/EV Battery Charger Receptacle-Lock Actuator {CBT Only} which in turn Locks and Unlocks the charge cord to the receptacle.
High Voltage Disabling This output control initiates the on-vehicle control module software to attempt to disable and discharge high voltage outside of the Hybrid/EV battery pack. Always refer to the High Voltage Disabling procedure in Hybrid/EV Energy Storage.
Hybrid/EV Battery Contactors This output control is used to energize the high voltage contactors for diagnostic purposes. Refer to the applicable high voltage contactor diagnostic trouble code for setup and usage instructions.
Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Active Isolation Test
  • Vehicles equipped with high voltage storage and propulsion capability are designed with both the positive and negative high voltage circuits isolated from the vehicle chassis.
  • This output control commands the hybrid powertrain control module 2 to measure the isolation of the hybrid/EV battery pack
  • The following control limits apply:
    • All high voltage contactors are open
    • The vehicle power mode is OFF
Depress and hold the brake pedal while the vehicle power mode is OFF to wake up the modules prior to enabling this output control.
Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Coolant Pump This output control is used to vary the coolant pump speed between 20% and 80%.
Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Heater Passive Isolation Test This output control is used to energize the Battery Pack Heater while monitoring for high voltage loss of isolation condition.
Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Heater Power This output control is used to energize the Battery Pack Heater to confirm heating function.
Hybrid/EV DC Charging Contactors This output control is used to energize the T24 Battery Charger {CBT only} internal high voltage negative and positive contactors for diagnostic purposes. Refer to the applicable high voltage contactor diagnostic trouble code for setup and usage instructions.
Hybrid/EV Electronics Coolant Pump This output control is used to vary the coolant pump speed between 20% and 80%.
