Circuit/System Testing

  1. Vehicle OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. Disconnect the X2 harness connector at the X98 Hybrid/EV Battery Charger Receptacle. Vehicle in Service Mode.
  2. Test for 1.15 V or greater between the signal circuit terminal 4 and ground.
    • If less than 1.15 V
    1. Vehicle OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2.
    2. Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit terminal 4 and ground.
      • If less infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
      • If infinite resistance
    3. Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuit terminal 4 end to end.
      • If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
      • If less than 2 Ω
    4. Replace the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2.
    • If 1.15 V or greater
  3. Command the DC Charge Port Lock to LOCK with a scan tool. Test for 3.29 V or less between the signal circuit terminal 4 and ground.
    • If greater than 3.29 V
    1. Vehicle OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2. Vehicle in Service Mode.
    2. Test for less than 1 V between the signal circuit terminal 4 and ground.
      • If 1 V or greater, repair the short to voltage in the circuit.
      • If less than 1 V
    3. Replace the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2.
    • If 3.29 V or less
  4. Replace the X98 Hybrid/EV Battery Charger Receptacle.
