Circuit/System Testing
- Vehicle OFF for 1 min, scan tool must be disconnected for steps 1 and 2 to allow module to power down. Disconnect the harness connector at the affected rear object sensor.
- Test for less than 10 Ω between the low reference circuit terminal 2 and ground.
- If 10 Ω or greater
- Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connector X2 at the K182 Parking Assist Control Module.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the low reference circuit end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω replace the K182 Parking Assist Control Module.
- If less than 10 Ω
- Vehicle ON.
- Test for at least 9.7 V between the 12 V reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If less than 9.7 V
- Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K182 Parking Assist Control Module.
- Test for infinite resistance between the 12 V reference circuit and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the 12 V reference circuit end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the K182 Parking Assist Control Module.
- If 9.7 V or greater
- Test for 4 - 12 V between the signal circuit terminal 3 and ground.
- If less than 4 V
- Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K182 Parking Assist Control Module.
- Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuit end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the K182 Parking Assist Control Module.
- If greater than 12 V
- Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K182 Parking Assist Control Module, Vehicle ON.
- Test for less than 1 V between the signal circuit and ground.
- If 1 V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than 1 V, replace the K182 Parking Assist Control Module.
- If between 4 - 12 V
- Vehicle OFF, connect all of the B306 Parking Assist Sensors.
- Vehicle ON.
- Verify that DTC B0958, B0960, or B0961 is not set.
- If the DTC is set
Replace the appropriate B306 Parking Assist Sensor
- If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC is set
- All OK.
