Installation Procedure

  1. Install Gaskets (2, 3)
  2. Install Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve (1)
    3. Fig 2: EGR Valve Bolts, Cooling Return Hose, Clamp And EGR Cooler Bolts

  3. Install Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Bolt (2, 3) (Qty: 3)
  4. Install Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bolt (4) (Qty: 2)
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  5. Tighten Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Bolt (2, 3) (Qty: 3) to 10 N.m (89 lb in)
  6. Tighten Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bolt (4) (Qty: 2) to 10 N.m (89 lb in)
  7. Connect Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooling Return Hose (5)
  8. Tighten Clamp (6)

  9. Install Engine Wiring Harness Bracket (4)
  10. Connect the electrical connector (2).
  11. Install and tighten Engine Wiring Harness Bracket Nut (3) to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  12. Install and tighten Engine Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  13. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling
  14. Install Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Temperature Sensor - Position 1. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 1
