Installation Procedure

  1. Battery Sensor Module (2) - Install
  2. Battery Negative Post Clamp Nut (1) - Tighten 4.5 N.m (40 lb in)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Use an open ended wrench to hold the battery sensor ground tab, while tightening the battery negative cable nut.
  5. Battery Negative Cable (1) - Install
  6. Battery Negative Cable Nut (3) - Install and tighten 11 N.m (97 lb in)

  8. Connect the electrical connector. (1)
  9. NOTE:

    Inform the customer that the Stop/Start feature will not be available until the vehicle is allowed to sit for at least 3 hours undisturbed. If diagnosing a stop/start complaint, conduct the battery sensor module learn procedure to verify the repair.

  10. Perform a re-learn procedure on the battery sensor module, refer to Battery Sensor Module Learn
