Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Active Cooling This output control is used to enable Active Cooling of the Hybrid/EV Battery Pack. The electric A/C compressor will be turned ON and the coolant control valve will be set to the chiller position allowing the air conditioning refrigerant to cool the hybrid/EV battery coolant.
Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Coolant Control Solenoid Valve This output control is used to energize the Q65 Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Coolant Control Valve. The valve has one fluid input port and three fluid output ports, identified as Radiator, Bypass, and Chiller. Bypass does not allow coolant to pass through either heat exchanger. The valve can be moved to several intermediate positions between Bypass and Chiller, for blended cooling of the hybrid/EV battery pack coolant for optimum efficiency.
Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Coolant Pump This output control is used to vary the coolant pump speed between 20% and 90%.
Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Coolant Pump Bleed Procedure This output control is used with the Drive Motor Battery Cooling System Draining and Filling procedure and the GE-47716 Van-N-Fill Coolant Refill Tool or its equivalent regional tool.
Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Heater Power This output control is used to energize the Battery Pack Heater. The output control is limited to 10%. Refer to DTC P1EC6.
Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Isolation Test
  • Vehicles equipped with high voltage storage and propulsion capability are designed with both the positive and negative high voltage circuits isolated from the vehicle chassis.
  • This output control commands the hybrid powertrain control module 2 to measure the isolation of the hybrid/EV battery pack
  • The following control limits apply:
    • All high voltage contactors are open
    • The vehicle power mode is OFF
Depress and hold the brake pedal while the vehicle power mode is OFF to wake up the modules prior to enabling this output control.
Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Precharge Transistor This output control is used to energize the high voltage contactors for diagnostic purposes. Refer to the applicable high voltage contactor diagnostic trouble code for setup and usage instructions.
Hybrid/EV Battery Positive Contactor This output control is used to energize the high voltage contactors for diagnostic purposes. Refer to the applicable high voltage contactor diagnostic trouble code for setup and usage instructions.
Hybrid/EV DC Charging Contactors This output control is used to energize the high voltage DC charge contactors for diagnostic purposes. Refer to the applicable high voltage contactor diagnostic trouble code for setup and usage instructions.
Hybrid/EV Electronics Coolant Pump This output control is used to vary the coolant pump speed between 20% and 90%.
Hybrid/EV Multifunction Contactor This output control is used to energize the high voltage contactors for diagnostic purposes. Refer to the applicable high voltage contactor diagnostic trouble code for setup and usage instructions.
