Preliminary Procedure Remove the front side door trim. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Replacement . Remove the front side door inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
1	Front Side Door Lock Screw (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Remove the water deflector. Disconnect the door lock electrical connector from the lock. Disconnect the front side door outside handle rod from the handle. Tighten 8.5 N.m (75 lb in)
2	Front Side Door Lock Procedure Transfer components as necessary to the new lock. In order to prevent outside handle lever pre-load, lock, outside handle, handle bracket and cover/cap shall be fully secured to the door prior to securing integral lock clip to outside handle rod. Integral lock clip shall be in the full up position while securing to outside handle rod. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Rod Adjustment . NOTE: Inspect the door lock system for proper operation before installing the door trim.

Procedure

Transfer components as necessary to the new lock.
