Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  1. Position the fuse block housing base (2) to the vehicle. Install the 2 nuts (1) to the fuse block housing base (2). Tighten the block base nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  3. Snap each of the 5 connectors back into place on the junction block base plate, ensuring the front locator tab is engaged and the two locking tabs snap into place for each connector.

  5. Position the front compartment fuse block housing (2) to the fuse block housing base by pressing down on the locking levers (1) with a slight shacking motion on the locking levers.

  7. Press the locking levers (2) in the full down position to the fuse block housing. To engage the 4 retainer tabs (1) using light pressure on the locking levers (2) to allow the locking levers to be rotated to the full down position.

  9. Attach the positive power cable to the terminal, refit fastener and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in)

  11. Position the cover (1) over the fuse block and press lightly until the cover is locked into position.
  12. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
