Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Driver Shift Control parameter, while moving the transmission shift through the park, reverse, neutral and drive positions. The parameter should display Inactive.
    • If the parameter displays Active 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the parameter displays Inactive 
  2. Place the gear shift lever into the manual mode position.
  3. Verify the Driver Shift Control mode parameter displays Active.
    • If the parameter does not display Active 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the parameter does display Active 
  4. Verify the scan tool Up and Down Shift Switch 2 parameter displays Upshift while pushing the plus (+) shift switch rearward.
    • If the parameter does not displays Upshift 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the parameter does displays Upshift 
  5. Verify the scan tool Up and Down Shift Switch 2 parameter displays Down Shift while pushing the minus (-) shift switch rearward.
    • If the parameter does not displays Down Shift 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the parameter does displays Down Shift 
  6. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observe from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  7. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the DTC does not set 
  8. All OK.
