Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  2. If equipped with the front leveling position sensor, disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Nut (1)» Loosen

    NOTE: Support the lower control arm ball joint with a hydraulic jack.
  4. CH-42188-B  separator (2) @ Steering Knuckle (1)» Install

  5. Separate the steering knuckle from the lower ball joint.
  6. Bolt (1) @ Front Lower Control Arm Bushing (2)» Remove and DISCARD [2x]

    NOTE: If necessary turn the steering knuckle in position.
  7. Bolt (2)» Remove and DISCARD [2x]

    NOTE: Hold against the nuts (2) to release the bolts (1). Use a suitable tool.
  8. Nut (1)» Remove and DISCARD [2x]
