Removal Procedure

Battery Negative Cable» Disconnect - Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Exhaust Front Pipe» Remove - Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement
Disconnect the starter wiring harness plug (2).

Remove the generator and starter cable start lead nut (3).
Generator and Starter Cable (4)» Remove
Remove the starter ground cable bolt (1).
NOTE: Remove the starter ground cable (5) for a better access to the starter bolt.
Starter Ground Cable (5)» Remove
Wiring Harness Retainer (2)» Unclip

Remove the 2 starter bracket bolts (3, 4).
