Removal Procedure

Ensure that all lamps and accessories are turned off.
Turn the ignition OFF and remove the ignition key.
Open the rear compartment lid.
Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Replacement » Remove
Open the right rear door.
Fold the rear seat back cushion forward to get a better access to the battery.
Loosen the negative battery cable nut. (2)
WARNING: Battery Disconnect Warning

Remove the battery negative cable (1) along with the battery sensor (2) from the battery.
Loosen the battery positive cable nut (2).

Disconnect the battery to fuse block cable (1).
Remove the battery vent tube (2) from the battery.

Remove the battery hold down retainer nut (3).
Battery Hold Down Retainer (4)» Remove
Battery (1)» Remove
