Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement

Windshield Wiper Arm Procedure
- Grasp the windshield wiper arm near the pivot shaft and gently rock it side to side until the arm releases.
- If the wiper arm does not release, using an appropriate tool, pull and remove the windshield wiper arm from the windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft.
- Clean the pivot shaft knurls with a soft wire brush before installing a new windshield wiper arm.
- Grasp the rear of the wiper arm and place the arm over the pivot shaft.
- Align the tip of the wiper blade to the small transparent circle in the lower center of the blackout area. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Adjustment .
- Install the windshield wiper arm nut.
- Hold the wiper arm in position and torque the wiper arm nut as specified above.
- Cycle the wiper arm with a spray of solvent, PARK the wiper arm and re-check the alignment of the wiper blade tip to the windshield transparent circle.
