Disconnect Procedure

  1. Turn off all the lamps and accessories.
    WARNING: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning .
  2. Turn the ignition OFF.
  3. Disconnect and remove all 12V battery chargers and the AC charger cable from the hybrid battery charger receptacle.
  4. Open the rear compartment floor panel.
  5. Open the rear access panel (1) on the rear compartment floor stowage trim panel.

  6. Loosen the negative cable nut (1).

  7. Remove the negative battery cable (4) from the battery terminal.
  8. Reposition the negative battery cable (4) away from the battery.
