Removal Procedure

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) .
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

Remove the battery negative cable engine block fastener (1) and remove the battery negative cable (2) from the engine.
Detach the battery negative cable from the frame.
Lower the vehicle.

Remove the battery negative cable ground fastener (1) and detach the retainers (2) securing the negative battery cable (3) to the lower plenum panel and wheelhouse liner.

Remove the battery negative cable retainer (1) from the lower front plenum panel and disconnect the engine harness connector (2) from the battery current sensor (4).

Disconnect the battery current sensor (1) from the battery tray and remove the battery negative cable (2) from the engine compartment.
Transfer the battery current sensor, if necessary.
