Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

- Remove the battery negative cable engine block fastener (1) and remove the battery negative cable (2) from the engine.
- Detach the battery negative cable from the frame.
- Lower the vehicle.

- Remove the battery negative cable ground fastener (1) and detach the retainers (2) securing the negative battery cable (3) to the lower plenum panel and wheelhouse liner.

- Remove the battery negative cable retainer (1) from the lower front plenum panel and disconnect the engine harness connector (2) from the battery current sensor (4).

- Disconnect the battery current sensor (1) from the battery tray and remove the battery negative cable (2) from the engine compartment.
- Transfer the battery current sensor, if necessary.
