Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the valve rocker arm cover insulator. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Insulator Replacement - Left Side (LT4)Valve Rocker Arm Cover Insulator Replacement - Left Side (LT1 Without Z52)Valve Rocker Arm Cover Insulator Replacement - Left Side (LT1 With Z52) , and/or Valve Rocker Arm Cover Insulator Replacement - Right Side (LT1 With Z52)Valve Rocker Arm Cover Insulator Replacement - Right Side (LT4)Valve Rocker Arm Cover Insulator Replacement - Right Side (LT1 Without Z52) .
  2. Remove the spark plug wires. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Replacement .
1 Ignition Coil Fasteners (Qty: 2)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
10 N.m (89 lb in)
2 Ignition Coil

Procedure

  1. Relocate wiring harnesses and hoses as necessary.
  2. Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector from the ignition coil.
