Disconnect Procedure

  1. Turn off all the lamps and accessories.
    WARNING: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning .
  2. Turn the ignition OFF.
  3. Open the rear compartment floor panel.
  4. Open the rear access panel (1) on the rear compartment floor stowage trim panel.

  5. Loosen the negative cable nut (1).

  6. Remove the negative battery cable (4) from the battery terminal.
  7. Reposition the negative battery cable (4) away from the battery.
