Removal Procedure

WARNING: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to the Fuel Pressure Relief (CH-48027) , Fuel Pressure Relief (Without CH-48027) , Fuel Pressure Relief (High Side) .

Remove the fuel feed line quick connect fitting retainer.
Blow dirt out of the fitting using compressed air.

CAUTION: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Caution .
Choose the correct tool from the J 37088-A Tool Set for the size of the fitting. Insert the tool into the female connector, then push inward in order to release the locking tabs.

Pull the connection apart.

WARNING: Refer to Relieving Fuel Pressure Warning .
Use a clean shop towel in order to wipe off the male pipe end.
Inspect both ends of the fitting for dirt and burrs. Clean or replace the components as required.
