Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  4. Fig 1: Body Harness Connector

  5. Disconnect the body harness connector (1) from the battery current sensor (2).
  6. Remove the battery negative ground cable fastener (3) and the battery negative cable (4) from the frame rail.

    NOTE:

    Note the orientation of the battery current sensor when removing.

  8. Remove the battery current sensor (2) from the battery negative cable (1).
