Installation Procedure

  1. Install the transmission fluid cooler pipes to the vehicle.
  2. Fig 1: Fluid Cooler Pipes, Retaining Bolts & Seal

  3. Install NEW transmission fluid cooler pipe seal (3) on the transmission fluid cooler pipes (2).
  4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Install the transmission fluid cooler pipe retaining bolt (1) and tighten to 22 (16 lb ft).

  7. Slide the conduit (2) up and under the oil pan. then install the engine wiring and battery positive cable conduit fasteners (1).
  8. Install the engine wiring and battery positive cable conduit fasteners (1) and tighten to 9 (80 lb in).

  10. Remove the heavy mechanical wire and install the starter motor (2) to the engine.
  11. Install the starter motor fasteners (1) and tighten to 58 (43 lb ft).

  13. Install the transmission fluid cooler pipe mounting bracket retainer nut (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the transmission fluid cooler pipe retaining nut to 17 (13 lb ft).

  15. Connect the transmission fluid auxiliary cooler outlet rear pipe (1) to the transmission fluid cooler pipes (2). Refer to Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Outlet Rear Pipe Replacement .

  17. Connect the transmission fluid cooler inlet pipe (1) to the transmission fluid cooler pipes (2). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement .
  18. Install the front bumper fascia extension. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement .
  19. Lower the vehicle.
  20. Install the air cleaner outlet extension. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  21. Adjust the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check , and transmission fluid fill procedure Transmission Fluid Fill Procedure .
  22. Inspect for fluid leaks.
