Preliminary Procedure Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Remove the diesel particulate exhaust temperature sensors. Refer to Exhaust Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 1 , Exhaust Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 2 , Exhaust Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 3 , and Exhaust Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 4 . Remove the exhaust pressure differential sensor pipe. Refer to Exhaust Pressure Differential Sensor Pipe Replacement . Remove the nitrogen oxide - position 2 sensor. Refer to Nitrogen Oxide Sensor Replacement - Position 2
1	Catalytic Converter Nut (Qty: 4) WARNING: Refer to Exhaust Service Warning . CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 45 N.m (33 lb ft)
2	Gasket TIP: Replace with a NEW gasket and clean the gasket surfaces.
3	Exhaust Hanger Isolators
4	Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) with Exhaust
