Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  4. Remove the crankshaft pulley. Refer to Crankshaft Pulley Replacement .

  5. Disconnect the oil pump flow control solenoid valve wiring harness plug (1) from the oil pump flow control solenoid valve (3).
  6. Install a oil drip pan under the engine.
  7. Remove the oil pump flow control solenoid valve bolt (2).
  8. Remove the oil pump flow control solenoid valve along with the seal ring (4) from the oil pump (5).
  9. Remove and DISCARD the seal ring (4).
