Installation Procedure

  1. Coat the exhaust gas recirculation pipe thread (4) with assembly paste.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

  2. Install the exhaust temperature sensor (3) to the exhaust front pipe thread (4) and tighten to 45 N.m (33 lb ft), use a suitable tool.
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Install the exhaust temperature sensor (3) to the retainer (2).
  5. Connect the exhaust temperature sensor wiring harness plug (1).
  6. Install the 2 straps.
  7. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
  8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
