Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Temperature Sensor Wiring Harness Plug

Coat the exhaust manifold thread (4) with assembly paste.
Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve temperature sensor (1) to the exhaust manifold thread (4).
Connect the exhaust gas recirculation valve temperature sensor wiring harness plug (2).
Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve temperature sensor wiring harness plug (2) to the retainer (3).

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten the exhaust gas recirculation valve temperature sensor (2) to 45 N.m (33 lb ft), use a suitable tool (1), e.g. a crow foot.
Install the turbocharger wastegate actuator vacuum control solenoid valve splash shield. Refer to Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve Splash Shield Replacement .
Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
