Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Remove the EGR valve temperature sensor position 2. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 2 .
    3. Fig 1: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe And Upper Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Gasket

  3. Remove the 4 exhaust gas recirculation pipe bolts (2, 4).
  4. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation pipe (3).
  5. Remove and DISCARD the upper exhaust gas recirculation pipe gasket (1).
  6. Remove and DISCARD the lower exhaust gas recirculation pipe gasket (5).
