Installation Procedure

  1. Install the 2 hoses (3) to the 2 converter pressure tubes (1).
  2. Install the 2 clamps (2) to the hoses (3).
  3. Install the EGR valve cooler. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Replacement .

  4. Install the exhaust pressure sensor pipe (5).
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Install the 4 exhaust pressure sensor pipe bolts (3, 6, 7) and tighten to 9 (80 lb in).
  6. Install the 2 hoses (4) to the exhaust pressure sensor (1).
  7. Install the 2 clamps (2).
  8. Connect the engine electrical harness retainers to the exhaust pressure sensor pipe.
  9. Install the charge air cooler outlet hose to the throttle body. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement .
  10. Install the heater inlet hose to the engine block. Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (1.8L LUW and LWE) , Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (1.4L LUV) , Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (2.0L Diesel LUZ) .
  11. Install the heater outlet hose to the engine block. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (1.8L LWE) , Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (1.4L LUV) , Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (1.8L LUW) , Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (2.0L Diesel LUZ) .
  12. Install the EGR pipe. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Replacement .
  13. Install the PCV oil separator. Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Assembly Replacement .
  14. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
  15. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
