Removal Procedure

  1. Place the ignition in the OFF position.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .

    NOTE:

    It is not necessary to remove the BPMV assembly nuts.

  3. Loosen the 2 BPMV assembly nuts (1).

  4. Without disconnecting the hydraulic brake pipes, lift the BPMV assembly (1) straight upward and release the assembly from the BPMV bracket.
  5. Secure the BPMV assembly with heavy mechanics wire.
  6. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  7. Remove the BPMV bracket bolts (1).

  8. Remove the BPMV bracket (1).
