Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X7 harness connector at the K9 Body Control Module, ignition ON.
- Verify the A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly is not activated.
- If the A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly is activated
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the X51A Fuse Block-Instrument Panel.
- Test for less than 1 V between the K9 Body Control Module control circuit terminal 13 and ground.
- If 1 V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than 1 V, replace the X51A Fuse Block-Instrument Panel.
- If the A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly is not activated
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X4 harness connector at the K9 Body Control Module.
- Connect a jumper wire between the control circuit terminal 22 X4 and ground.
- Connect a 3A fused jumper wire between the control circuit terminal 13 X7 and B+.
- Verify the A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly activates.
- If the A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly does not activate
- Remove the jumper wires, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the X51A Fuse Block-Instrument Panel.
- Test for infinite resistance between the K9 Body Control Module control circuit terminal 13 X7 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the control circuits listed below end to end.
- Control circuit terminal 13 X7
- Control circuit terminal 22 X4
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the X51A Fuse Block-Instrument Panel.
- If the A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly activates
- Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
