Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ignition coils (2) to the vehicle.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the ignition coil to camshaft cover retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  3. Connect the ignition coil harness connectors to the ignition coils.
  4. If replacing the number three cylinder coil, install the evaporative emissions canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement .
  5. Install the rear intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Rear .
