Removal Procedure

  1. Fuel Pressure Relief »Relieve the fuel system pressure.
  2. Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement »Remove.

    NOTE:

    Applying force to the plastic housing of the sensor may damage the sensor. To tighten or loosen, apply force only to the attached hexagon.

  4. Electrical Connector (1) Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor-Disconnect.
  5. NOTE:

    Some fuel may leak from the fuel rail fuel pressure sensor orifice after the sensor is removed. Dry the area around this orifice after the removal of the sensor using a lint free cloth, and Inspect the fuel rail pressure sensor sealing surface. The surface should be free of fuel, debris, and burrs.

  6. Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (2) Fuel Injection Fuel Rail-Remove and DISCARD.
