Installation Procedure
- Feed the battery positive cable into the engine compartment through the plenum pass-through opening.
- Install the pass-through grommet (1) and fasten the battery positive cable retainers (2) to the lower floor plenum.
- Route battery positive cable (2) along engine compartment and attach remaining fasteners.
- Install battery positive cable to the junction block terminal.
- Install the battery positive starter cable (1) to the junction block terminal and tighten nut (3) to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
- Attach the battery positive cable terminal cover (4).
- Install the battery positive cable (2) along the floor console tunnel with the retainers (1).
- Install the battery positive cable retainers (1) to the floor panel bar and feed the battery positive cable (2) into the rear compartment area.
- Install the battery positive cable (4) to the battery positive post and tighten the clamp nut (1) to 5.5 N.m (4 lb ft)..
- Attach the battery positive cable retainer (2).
- Install the rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Convertible) .
- Install left side quarter trim panel. Refer to Quarter Trim Panel Replacement (Convertible) .
- Install rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (Convertible) .
- Install the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Install the rear compartment floor panel carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Convertible) .
