Circuit/System Verification

WARNING:

The Volt Battery Pack will utilize an exchange program. Please consult the most recent revision of bulletin/PI #PIP4841, available in Service Information (SI), for a list of approved Volt Battery Pack service procedures. Components that may be removed and serviced without exchanging the complete battery pack are identified in the bulletin/PI. Please contact the GM Technical Assistance Center if you have any questions.

  1. Vehicle in Service Mode.
  2. Verify DTC P1EB2, P1EB3, P1EB4, or P1EB5 is not set.
    • If any of the DTCs are set 
    1. Program the K16 Battery Energy Control Module.
    2. Verify the DTC does not set.
      • If the DTC P1EB2 sets, replace the K112A Hybrid/EV Battery Interface Control Module 1.
      • If the DTC P1EB3 sets, replace the K112B Hybrid/EV Battery Interface Control Module 2.
      • If the DTC P1EB4 sets, replace the K112C Hybrid/EV Battery Interface Control Module 3.
      • If the DTC P1EB5 sets, replace the K112D Hybrid/EV Battery Interface Control Module 4.
      • If the DTC does not set
    3. All OK.
    • If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. All OK
