Installation Procedure

  1. Install the battery positive and negative cable (4) to the vehicle.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the battery negative cable frame ground bolt (3) and tighten to 12 (9 lb in).
  3. Install the generator B (+) nut (2) and tighten to 11 (8 lb in).
  4. Install the starter solenoid B (+) nut (1) and tighten to 11 (8 lb in).
  5. Install the exhaust front pipe assembly. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement .
  6. Lower the vehicle.

  7. Install the battery negative cable (2).
  8. Install the battery negative cable frame ground bolt (1) and tighten to 12 (9 lb in).
  9. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .

  10. Install the positive battery cable (3) to the junction block and relay box.
  11. Install the positive battery cable nut (2) and tighten to 12 (9 lb in).
  12. Install the positive battery cable nut (1) and tighten to 12 (9 lb in).
  13. Install the relay box cover.
  14. Install the junction block cover.
  15. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .

  16. Connect the body wiring master harness connector (1) to the battery positive cable junction block.
  17. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  18. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  19. Close the hood.
