Installation Procedure
- Install the electronic parking brake control module to the vehicle.
- Inspect the O-ring seals on the spindle and the cable for damage and correct positioning and replace, if necessary.
- Install the electronic parking brake control module nuts (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the parking brake rear cable nut (1) and tighten to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
- Connect the electronic parking brake control module electrical connector.
- Install the left rear wheelhouse liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
- Install the left rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Enable the parking brake cable adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling
- Program the electronic parking brake control module. Refer to Electronic Parking Brake Control Module Programming and Setup .

Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
When installing the electronic park brake cable nut to the electronic park brake module spindle, hold the spindle housing securely to avoid distorting the housing.
