Removal Procedure

  1. Place drain pans under the vehicle.
  2. Remove as much power steering fluid from the reservoir as possible.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  4. Remove the radiator air lower baffle and deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement .

  6. Loosen the 2 hose clamps and disconnect the power steering fluid cooling pipe (1, 4) from the power steering fluid cooler (2, 3).

  8. Remove the bolt (2) from the power steering fluid cooler (1).
  9. Disconnect the retainer (3) and the power steering fluid cooler from the front end lower tie bar.

  11. Remove the bolt (2) from the power steering fluid cooler (1).

  13. Remove the power steering fluid cooler (1) from the vehicle.
