Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the accessory wiring junction block. Refer to Accessory Wiring Junction Block Replacement .
  3. Remove the right front diagonal brace. Refer to Front Fender Upper Diagonal Brace Replacement .

  5. Open the positive battery cable terminal cover and release the positive cable clamp (1).
  6. Remove the positive battery cable from the battery.

  8. Remove the battery hold down fastener (1) and hold down retainer (2).

    NOTE:

    Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.

  10. Remove the battery (1).

  12. Remove the battery insulator.
