Installation Procedure

  1. Install the battery insulator.

    NOTE:

    Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during installation.

  2. Install the battery (1).
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the battery hold down retainer and tighten the fastener to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  4. Install the positive battery cable clamp (1) to the battery positive post.
  5. Install the battery positive cover.
  6. Install the accessory wiring junction block. Refer to Accessory Wiring Junction Block Replacement .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  8. Install the right front diagonal brace. Refer to Front Fender Upper Diagonal Brace Replacement .
