Rear Side Door Window Replacement

Rear Side Door Window Replacement

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear side door inner sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  4. Remove the rear side door outer sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement 
  5. Do Not remove the rear side door window channel retainer from the door just the lower bolt (1). Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement .

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedures

  1. Remove the rear side door window frame rear applique, using a suitable tool to release the clips.
  2. Position window approximately half way down in the door.
  3. Tape the window to door frame to prevent it from moving.
  4. Tape the rear side door window frame front applique.
  5. Place tape around the outer edge of the rear door frame after removing the applique, this will protect the window when removing.
  6. It maybe necessary to partially remove the rear side door window weatherstrip from the door frame.

Tighten 
10 N.m (89 lb in)
2 Rear Side Door Window to Window Regulator Guide Bolts (Qty: 2)

Procedure

  1. Remove the tape from the door frame.
  2. Remove the door window from the door frame. Pull upward then slide the window rearward to release it from rear side door window channel retainer.

Tighten 
10 N.m (89 lb in)
