Installation Procedure

  1. Maneuver and install the fuel line to the vehicle.
    2. Fig 1: Fuel/Brake Pipe Retainers

    NOTE:

    Observed the marked the positions of the fuel/brake pipe retainers (1) when installing the fuel/brake pipe retainers (1) to the fuel/brake pipes assembly.

  2. Install all the fuel/brake pipe retainers (1) to the fuel/brake pipe assembly (2).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the front fuel/brake pipe assembly protection plate (1) to the vehicle and tighten the bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb in).

  4. Install the rear stone guard and the rear stone guard to chassis retaining nuts (1) and tighten to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  5. Connect the fuel feed pipe (2). Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  6. Connect the EVAP pipe (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  7. Install the removed heat shields.
  8. Install the right catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LFX) .
  9. Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement (V6) .
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) , Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) .
