Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Brake Dust Warning .

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without RT2) , Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With RT2) .
  3. Disconnect the rear wheel sensor electrical connector (1).

  4. Release the wheel speed sensor wire harness retainers (1) from the rear suspension tie bar.
  5. Release the wheel speed sensor wire harness from the vehicle underbody (2).

  6. Clean the wheel speed sensor area on the suspension knuckle of any accumulated dirt and debris.
  7. Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt (1).
  8. Remove the wheel speed sensor assembly from the suspension knuckle by pulling straight out.
