Circuit/System Testing
- Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K60 steering column lock module.
- Test for less than 10 Ω between the ground circuit terminals 6 and 7 and ground.
- If greater than the specified value, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 5 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- Vehicle in Service Mode, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminal 3 and ground
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- Test for less than 0.3 V between the control circuit terminal 4 and ground.
- If greater than the specified value, test the control circuit for a short to voltage.
- Disconnect the connector at the K84 keyless entry control module.
- Test for less than 5 Ω between the K60 steering column lock module circuit terminal 4 and the K84 keyless entry control module circuit terminal 1.
- If greater than the specified range, test the control circuit for a open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the K60 steering column lock module. If the DTC resets replace the K84 Keyless Entry Control Module.
