SERVICE INFORMATION

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

CONDITION/CONCERN

Some customer may experience a SES lamp with a current or history code P0534 set in the HPCM 2.

RECOMMENDATION/INSTRUCTIONS

If you experience the concern above, please perform the following:

Make sure the vehicle has the proper amount of refrigerant charge. If low, check and repair leak and then perform step 2 below before releasing vehicle.
If the vehicle has the proper refrigerant charge, update the HPCM 2 (K114B) with the latest calibration in TIS-2-Web. A new calibration has been released to address this DTC.

NOTE:

If the vehicle returns to the dealer for a repeat failure for DTC P0534 after the 2 steps above have been completed, please perform the normal diagnosis in SI.
